'Tis the Season!
Everyone is talking about it and doing it....celebrating good cheer. Sometimes this celebration can get the best of us and we can over indulge in the holiday eggnog! Then the next day is a little harder to get everything done that we need to get done!
It's just another one of the many times I turned to my essential oils!
My absolute go to oils for this sort of morning is my hangover trifecta- Lemon, Wild Orange and Peppermint. I love these because you can drink them in your water, inhale them, apply topically or diffuse them......however for the really hard mornings I strongly suggest doing all of the above. Even if you have to get up a little earlier (I know, easier said than done), it is SO worth it to get these essential oil combos in! For me, it really pays off!
DIFFUSE
- 3 Drops Wild Orange
- 3 Drops Lemon
- 3 Drops Peppermint
First thing I do is get my diffusers out and start diffusing. This helps me get up and get started. I continue diffusing this throughout the house.
ESSENTIAL OIL COCKTAIL (And not like the ones from the night before!)
- 3 Drops Wild Orange
- 3 Drops Lemon
- 3 Drops Pepperming
- 12 oz Cold Water
First I add the essential oils to my glass, then add the water. I think it helps distribute the oils through out the glass. Remember to ALWAYS use glass or stainless steel when mixing any oils to your beverages. I love using my glass water bottle because I am usually on the go all day and can bring this with me. You can keep refilling your water bottle with water and continue cleansing and detoxifying your body through out the day.
MASSAGE
- 1 tsp FCO
- 2 Drops Lavender
- 2 Drops Lemon
- 2 Drops Peppermint
- 2 Drops Wild Orange
Before I get out of bed, I take a few extra minutes to massage this blend into the bottom of my feet. It takes 20 seconds for the oils to get into your blood stream, so I know this starts working almost immediately. Any left on my hands, I breathe in deeply and put on the back of my neck.
PAST TENSE
I recently tried this roller bottle of PastTense. I always carry it with me to help with tension, stress or headaches. Needless to say, it fits in perfect to "foggy morning" routine!
Hope this helps you to continue enjoying your celebrations, and the next day!
